Time Off

I first want to apologize for the lack of posting lately. Life gets overwhelming and you have to choice where to make time. I have been so disappointed with Michigan Sports lately that I question this blog and have a hard time finding motivation to run this site. Personally I had been training for a 5K the last few months so when I first went absent from the site is when I was in the middle of making back to back 5K runs within 8 days of each other. I hope that through my training and insight that someday I can help to inspire other people. I have lost about 50 pounds over the last year and I have recently lowered my 5K time down to less than 40 minutes which was my first goal besides or course finishing one. In total I ran a 5K on my own in the middle of the two runs and I ran 3 5K’s in 8 days. Pretty good for a man over 330 pounds, hopefully next year this time I can tell you how a 280 pound man ran his first 10K. I hope that I can inspire other Big Men to get active with their life and that they “Can” do it.

Then there is that Michigan Sports thing. What the heck happened to the Tigers, they choked again. Someone even took out one of the M & M brothers and I mean the ones that used to play in a dome and we still could not beat the Twins. I keep saying it did not matter anyway because we would not have advanced past the Yankees so I can heel my wounds. The Lions are still the Lions; we definitely need to kick Backus to the curb. My goal is that the Ford family run the team so far into the ground that we all start up a revolt like the ones the Browns season ticket holders did this week or we can get the U.S. congress to allow us to legally force the Fords to sell them team. I was all in favor of the team being sold to Ilitch but he cannot even get the Red Wings to win on the pond. Now I know it is a little early in the season and Holland tells us to wait until after the Lions loss on Turkey day but I am still bitter over the choking in the Stanley Cup Finals last year. I do not even want to get going about that Maize and Blue team. I know we are rebuilding but there is only so much I can take from those other team faith full like Michigan State, Ohio State and the Irish. I think we are going to make sure all of our kids go to the same college so we do not have any inner family rivalries, lol. Thanks for listening to my rambling.
