Erik Magnuson commits to Michigan

Michigan got its big OL commitment this afternoon as well. CA OL Erik Magnuson joined the class on his visit to Ann Arbor. Luckily the weather here didn’t deter him. This rain has been horrendous.

Magnuson is 6’6’’ 275 lbs. He is the 34th ranked player in the country according to Rivals. Not 34th OL, mind you. He is the highest rated 4-star player so far. He is legit. Scout has him as a 4-star, and the 16th OT. He should be a good one, in other words. He held offers from some powerhouses as well. In addition to Michigan, he held offers from UCLA, Miami (FL), Oregon, Notre Dame, and Oklahoma. That list alone shows you his talent.

This is another example of Hoke maintaining a relationship from his SDSU days. My biggest worry about Hoke was his ability to recruit, and this shuts me up. This is the most impressive “get” for Michigan so far. The Michigan guys are very good too, but they are locals who grew up Michigan fans to at least some degree. Magnuson was a Hoke fan that will be playing in Ann Arbor because of it. Bravo Zulu, Coach.

Congrats Erik, and Go Blue!
